  • Vitamins – Could They Achieve?

Taking infertility vitamins can significantly improve your chances of a successful pregnancy. Sperm count and motility can be improved in men taking infertility vitamins. For infertility, vitamins can help with hormonal balance, ovulation and optimization of the reproductive system. They can help in creating the optimum environment for conception.

Approximately one quarter of all infertility cases is caused by anovulation, or a lack of normal, regular ovulation. The medication used most often to solve ovulation problems is clomiphene citrate. If ovulation or pregnancy doesn’t happen after treatment with clomiphene citrate, medications called gonadotropins may be delivered via an injection. With all the ovarian stimulation there is a good chance that multiple eggs will be fertilized, and then your doctor will help you examine what choices to make.

There have been reports that infertility treatment is associated with a higher incidence of cerebral palsy. A higher-than-average incidence of cerebral palsy exists in children conceived through infertility treatment, according to recent research. A report in the journal Human Reproduction, detailing a new study comparing children conceived through assisted reproduction and those conceived naturally, reported that of 590,000 babies born between 1995 and 2003 in Denmark, those born as a result of infertility treatment experienced double the incidence of cerebral palsy as children who were the result of natural conception. The increased chance is explained largely by the higher rates of multiple births and pre term delivery caused by infertility treatment – more than 50% of assisted-reproduction births are twins or triplets.

Despite the fact that many couples opt for high tech methods like IVF or IUI, the number of people who are looking for natural or alternative health care solutions for reproduction is increasing. Change of diet, exercise, acupuncture, yoga and even some herbs can all help improve your fertility naturally. When you consider the expense of conventional medical infertility treatment, the invasive and painful nature of some of the procedures, and especially the risks involved, it makes sense to look into natural options first.

When the specific cause for infertility is unknown, the go-to treatment is usually artificial insemination. Husbands and wives experience a success rate of about 15 per cent per cycle using IUI with fertility drugs. In order to improve the chances of an egg being fertilized, the sperm are treated to extract those with the best motility. Then when the woman is near ovulation, the doctor will deposit the sperm into the uterus.

During IVF (in vitro fertilization) fertilization happens in a petrie dish, and the fertilized egg is then deposited in the woman’s uterus to continue to grow. For this procedure, the eggs are taken via a needle from the ovary before they are released to the fallopian tubes. The unwanted side effects of IVF, as well as ovulation drugs and other procedures, can include multiple pregnancy and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.

One in seven husbands and wives trying to conceive experiences difficulty and will consider infertility treatment. A couple who is still not pregnant after trying for a year or more may need to have an infertility evaluation. Those in their 30s should begin infertility evaluation earlier, after about six months of trying. There can be many reasons for a woman failing to get pregnant, but they are seldom easy to discern.

When a woman’s fallopian tubes are blocked, they can be opened or removed by surgery. Surgery also may be done to remove growths like fibroids or polyps, remove scarring from previous surgery or infection, or to treat endometriosis. Whether the procedure is successful at facilitating conception depends on a number of factors. Infertility treatment can be a lengthy and involved process.
