what exactly does a person have to obtain to work in a nail salon/beauty salon doing nails?
Posted on December 11th, 2009 1 commentthis is in ohio – do you have to pay to go to cosemetology school or can it be done online? someone help me out here ive been doing nails all my life and im looking to do it for a partime job now that i know some people with salons.
You have to go to cosmetology school and log in the amount of school hours required in your state in order to be certefied. To get an actual cosmetology liscense is usually 1500 hours, like a year or year and a half worth of school. I think to get certification for nail technician and doing nails takes less time, although you wouldn’t have a cosmetology license. Depends on your state.
