  Nails are very important to beauty because hands are very important. They should be kept clean, and relatively short. I believe nude colors look the best, and maintain durability the best. For males short, clean nails are a must, but i think you could skip the buffing.

  Nails reflect your overall health. If they are chipped, cracked or yellow it reflects on what is happening on the inside of your body. If you have yellow stains from smoking it can look unattractive. If you have large ‘Moons’ on your cuticle that is a healthy sign that you are getting enought protein. And dirt under the fingernails is a sign that you are not a very clean person.

  Quite important. If people have long nails and there’s dirt under them, that’s GROSS! I prefer them to be only a couple of centimeters in length without polish.

  I have been getting my nails professionally done with acryllic overlays for the past four years. I keep them pretty short and a bit squared off. I always feel more put together when I have pretty nails, and to me the splurge is worth it.

  As a girl, very important. Shape: i dont know. Color: i like to paint my nails related to the closest holiday. Not like, paint all my nails red & green for x-mas, but maybe a clear with little holly branches on the ring fingers.

  For a guy, I like for my boyfriend to just keep them cut short and clean. His hands are REALLY soft too and that’s just wonderful. For girls I think they should keep their nails medium-length with clear polish. I like for my skin tone a lavender coloerd polish.

  Shape and color are relatively unimportant to me. As long as they are clean and neatly kept,they’re OK. Does anyone find those long,red talons sported by most porn stars and WWE female wrestlers a turn on? No,really.
