hi, i was wondering …
hi, i was wondering if someone could help? i have had gel nails for a very long time – gel only with NO acrylic underneath and wanted to take them off. i heard that you soak them in pure acetone only and that this would remove them. however, tho it melted most of it off, i still have large pieces of gel that i can’t even file off. i soaked them for over an hour and my nails are already very thin after having them. what should i do?? thank you. -

To remove your gel …
To remove your gel nails you soak them in a gel nail remover solution and off they come. Leaving a healthy natural nail. -

Thank you so much …
Thank you so much for your comments. At Sunshrine we pride ourselves on our knowledge and our ability to educate our clients, so allow me to explain.
Unlike other nail enhancements Gel Nails are a mesh product that allows air to come into contact with the nail. No, our nails dont have lung, but they are porous (contain microscopic holes). It is through these holes that the nail bed (living tissue) breathes. -

Suffocating the …
Suffocating the nail bed can lead to several serious problems including fungal and bacterial growth which may lead to the nail having to be removed or falling off. Further air circulation will kill anaerobic bacteria, and discourage the growth of most fungus.
Acrylic nails for example, are a plastic product that sits on your nail plate and smother/suffocate the nail bed. -

Sculpting with Gel …
Sculpting with Gel Nails is more natural because it isnt a bunch of chemicals as you put it. Gel Nails are organic and allows us to sculpt a durable but flexible natural looking nail. The newly sculptured free edge will match the colour of the natural nail.
I invite you to come to Sunshrine and try our gel nail enhancements so that you can experience the difference for yourself. -

since when did your …
since when did your nails sprout lungs? your nails do not need to “breath”. all enhancements allow your nails to grow.
i agree that a soak off is a great way to go for nat. nail overlay.
bac. or fungus will grow or not grow , depending on the level of care taken by the client and skill of the nail tech.
excellent, you are sculpting, but why is this any more “natural” than any other enhancement product? its still a bunch of chemicals designed for the enhancement of the fingernail
